Beliefs

Every one—and I do mean everyone—operates under some conditions that are simply accepted. I am no different. Below are some of mine. As time passes, this will be added to and links will be made to go into more detail.

  • The Bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant, preserved Word of God. Simply put, if it is in the Bible, God said, He meant it, and I can still read and trust it today. This forms—or should form—the foundation for everything else I believe.
  • There is one God, and somehow that is beyond me, He exists (and always has) in three—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are distinct, yet unified; completely God on Their own and yet never separate. I don’t understand it; you don’t understand, but I trust the Bible.
  • Christ, the Son, died for the sins of the entire world, and the only way to receive that forgiveness and escape the manifold curse of sin is to trust wholly on what He did for you. There is no other way.

Now there is a lot more that I believe, and there is a lot more that I will add to these beliefs, but these three items separate historic, Bible-believing Christianity from every other religion in the world. In fact, the third even separates us from many “Christian” faiths that rely on works or baptism or a combination or … well, you get the idea. The Bible is the foundation.
